On Yer Bike 2023

OYB was brought to you by TTA with funding from Perth & Kinross Council and the UCI Cycling World Championships 2023.

It was a busling weekend held on 25th and 26th March, introducing novices to the humble bicycle and the world of opertunities our two-wheeled friend can offer, from leisure to sport and commuting. The CLAN cycle stunt team were on site at Lesser South Inch Park to the South of Perth city centre showing the public their jaw-dropping bunny hopping tricks and stoking up the lively atmosphere. There were many deals being made at the Big Bike Jumble where stall holders flunted there preloved cycling good to those keen to see the items put to good use in a new home.

An Evening of Red Bull Rampaging!

Our fundraising event held at Cullach Brewing taproom in Perth on 21st October 2022 was a momentous success, raising £2,500 through raffle tickets and TTA merchandise sales; Over £900 of this was raised on the night! 100% of the funds raised will be invested into the purchase of tools, materials and insurance to enable us to continue to hold Dig Days going forth.

Thank you to all those who came along to help raise funds for your local trail association and to meet our volunteers in person. We were blown away by the attendee turnout and by the generousity of our raffle donors!

Your Trails Need You!

Come along to one of our Dig Days for a day on the trails from another perspective with like-minded folk and chill vibes, whilst learning sustainable trail building practices.

If you’re keen to give back to the trails and are able to attend Dig Days at your favourite riding spots, you can book your FREE spot and view further details by clicking our Eventbrite link below:

Why help out?

Well if you are a biker or trail user, then you should already know, but essentially it is the best way to ‘give something back’ for all the times you have ridden and raced at these spots for free. A lot of hard work (like these dig days) goes into making the trails sustainable and super enjoyable all year round. It’s not always possible with recent issues, weather and man power, but we are working on it. And getting more people involved, helps to grow the scene, and increase our pool of ready and willing volunteers for the next time!

What should I bring?

If you have any of the following tools, please bring them with you, and we can select the most appropriate selection based on the work plan for the day:

  • Hoe
  • Mattock
  • Spade
  • Rake
  • Plastic flexi rubble bucket
  • Hand Saws/Loppers
  • Gloves ESSENTIAL
  • Eye protection (glasses would be best)
  • Hi viz
  • Cake… 😉

Also if you are first aid trained please let us know. (We have enough but it is nice to know)

Exact location of the day will be the sent to those that sign up. (It is the easiest way to get the info out, whilst keeping the list of dates together under one event).

If you haven’t signed up, please do not turn up hoping to tag a long. Our insurance and work plan for the day is based on certain numbers.

Can’t make a dig day but want to help out?

All donations are greatly appreciated and help to fund the running of all our Dig Days as well as all the tools! →  Donate
